On Thursday 10th October, the school was full of sunshine as children came in wearing yellow in support of children and young people’s mental health for World Mental Health Day.
One activity the children took part in was to fill a ‘wellbeing tree’ with their ideas on how they can look after themselves at school. Reception children knew that friends and grown-ups can help if they are worried about something and Year Two children added to this by saying we can follow the ‘Golden Rules’ and that we should think about others’ feelings. Children knew that saying kind words, being friendly and collaborating would be helpful for those who are not feeling happy. Some more ideas for the wellbeing tree were to give yourself compliments and don’t keep things to yourself – wise words indeed!
Thank you for your generous support with this very important event.
You helped us to raise an amazing amount of £390.51 for “Youngminds” and we say another “BIG THANK YOU”.
