P.E & Sports Premium
Stourfield Infants School vision is that all children should receive high quality Physical Education (PE) from raising standards in teaching and learning as well has having access to an outstanding range of extra-curricular sport and physical activity opportunities.
Stourfield Infant School shares the governments vision for the primary PE and Sports Premium:
ALL pupils leaving primary school physically literate and with the knowledge, skills and motivation necessary to equip them for a healthy, active lifestyle and life long participation in physical activity and sport.
Stourfield Infant School received £17,460 for the 2025/26 academic year. This funding has been proven to ensure impact against the following objective: "to achieve self sustaining improvement in the quality of PE and sport in primary schools."
It is expected that schools will see improvement against the following five key indicators:
- increasing confidence, knowledge and skills of all staff in teaching PE and sporting activities.
- increasing engagement of all pupils in regular physical activities and sporting activities.
- raising the profile of PE and sport across the school, to support whole school improvement.
- offer a broader and more equal experience of a range of sports and physical activities to all pupils.
- increasing participation in competitive sport.
