Remembrance Day - 9th Nov 2018
Last Friday, two veterans led our Remembrance Day Assembly.
They explained to the children the importance of the poppy and read some poems to the children.
Year One children had been busy making over 120 poppies which were displayed in the hall. The veterans and staff were taken aback at how special the hall looked, seeing a sea of poppies. At the end of the assembly, our Year Two choir gave a very moving performance of the song “We will remember them”.
At eleven o’clock, the Junior School joined us to hold a minute’s silence and watch poppies being released from the school roof.
